Utilizing RFID Technology

IMM-RFID™

IMM-RFID™ is an upgrade option for the IMM patron self-checkout product. This option enables IMM to read RFID tags. Furthermore, this option allows IMM to scan barcodes and read RFID tags, thus, the Library’s patrons can still perform self-checkout on materials shared with other branches or consortium members that are not using RFID tags.

IMM-RFID™ complies the ISO standards for RFID tags. The IMM-RFID™ supports all RFID vendor tags that are compliant with RFID standard ISO/IEC 15693 and 18000-3.

IMM-RFID™ can be ordered as an option for installed IMM if and when the Library decides to implement RFID tags. Libraries already using RFID tags simply order IMM with the IMM-RFID™ option.
